People We Serve

CASA Housing for Veterans

United States’ veterans have experienced great sacrifice fighting for our freedoms, but we often fail to appropriately repay them for their service. Between 130,000 and 200,000 vets go without a place to live on any given night, with over 150 experiencing homelessness in North Carolina’s Research Triangle alone.

Giving Back to Our Veterans with Affordable Housing

CASA believes that none of America’s heroes should have to go without the dignity of a permanent home. This is why we provide and manage affordable housing to veterans experiencing homelessness. CASA has several dedicated veteran housing units, as well as other veteran apartment options across our properties.

Many veterans are living with disability as a result of their service. To meet the needs of these individuals, CASA provides individualized property management in our permanent supportive housing program. CASA is also happy to accept HUD-VASH and other vouchers to keep housing costs low for our tenants.

CASA is currently providing permanent housing to over 100 veterans, and we hope that through growth and contributions we can expand our reach. Your donation can make a world of difference in the life of a veteran.

Michael is one of those veterans.  After living in a tent for several years, Michael loves being able to sleep soundly, cook healthy food, and take medicine at the same time every day.  His CASA apartment has led to improved health and he’s recently found a job.  “I love my apartment,” he says.  “It’s such a blessing.”
