We are so grateful to acknowledge the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Charitable Service Trust, who has awarded CASA with its fourth grant to provide direct housing assistance to veterans, as our Partner of the Month. Their grant of $59,500 is the DAV Charitable Service Trust’s largest gift to CASA to date.

The DAV Charitable Service Trust supports organizations across the country that serve veterans, including therapeutic programs, housing initiatives, rehabilitation and transportation services, and programs addressing the needs of aging veterans.  They have supported CASA’s Supportive Housing for Veterans with over $180,000 to CASA since 2015, making them one of CASA’s most generous philanthropic donors.

With their support, CASA will continue to address the disproportionate number of veterans among our homeless neighbors by developing and managing quality affordable rental housing.  110 veterans currently live in CASA apartment homes, 43 of which live in CASA communities designated specifically for veterans who have experienced homelessness and are living with a disability.

We are grateful for all that they do to support ill and injured veterans across the country, and thrilled to recognize them as our April Partner of the Month.
