“Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.”
-Theodore Roosevelt

Today a few of us from CASA attended the Triangle Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Leadership Awards to celebrate our own housing developer, Jess Brandes.  We’ve been blessed to have Jess on our staff since 2008, after she completed an internship with us during her graduate program in City and Regional Planning at UNC.

Jess is one of those unique and amazing people who sincerely loves the opportunity to ‘work hard at work worth doing.’  She is genuinely energized by the opportunity to serve more people and improve our community.  She used her brief time on stage at today’s ceremony to express gratitude to those who work along with her to end homelessness by providing safe, permanent, affordable housing to our most vulnerable neighbors.

There’s rarely a day that goes by that I’m not proud of my team for the work we do together at CASA.  Today I was just especially proud.  Congratulations to Jess, and thank you for all you do to end homelessness in our community.
