CASA is proud to introduce our July Partner of the Month, the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF).

The North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF) has been dedicated to serving communities for 35 years. Their mission is to inspire North Carolinians to make lasting and meaningful contributions to their communities. For a decade, NCCF has been a strong advocate for CASA’s work, playing a crucial role in spreading awareness of our efforts across the community. In 2021, CASA established the King’s Ridge Sustainability Endowment at NCCF. This endowment provides a permanent funding source for King’s Ridge, allowing CASA and its partners to focus on serving people rather than on fundraising or dealing with unexpected expenses. The Women’s Giving Network of Wake County (WGN), an NCCF giving circle, and other NCCF fundholders have supported King’s Ridge through the development process and the endowment. NCCF’s support is giving CASA the freedom to focus on their work.

Not only do they provide funds, but they provide opportunities for folks to come together. Recently, NCCF provided CASA with the space to host a community partnership meeting. CASA and 11 community organizations came together in a discussion centered on the future of CASA’s King’s Ridge property and how CASA can help chronically homeless and vulnerable individuals transition from the streets into permanent, supportive housing.

“We are honored to support CASA in the work they are doing to support members of our community who are unhoused through long-term, community-based solutions,” said Jennifer Tolle Whiteside, NCCF President & CEO.

Additionally, NCCF invited CASA staff members Emma Doss and Erin Yates to present to their staff. They shared insights about CASA’s mission and the impact we aim to achieve in our community.

We are immensely grateful for our partnership with NCCF and all they do to support North Carolina’s communities.
