White Memorial became part of the CASA family in 2022, making a generous first gift to support the capital campaign for King’s Ridge. But their commitment didn’t stop there—it grew. As the King’s Ridge community waited eagerly for its grand opening, White Memorial was busy behind the scenes, building relationships with CASA and the residents we serve through our mission of providing affordable housing.
And their impact? It radiates far beyond CASA. White Memorial is a true force for good in Raleigh, supporting a network of local nonprofits—many of whom are also CASA partners. From offering life skills classes to donating home goods, providing healthcare, and connecting clients to housing, White Memorial shows up time and again for our neighbors in need.
Then came February 2025, when we finally celebrated the opening of King’s Ridge—and White Memorial showed up again with another outpour of support. Parishioners donated more than 100 casseroles and potholders for each resident – providing a delicious hot meal for residents on their first night.
“Knowing there was a meal ready for me and all I had to do was heat it up was the icing on the cake for my day.” – Anonymous, King’s Ridge
In addition, they’ve donated birthday celebration kits, and they raised funds that helped us outfit our new residents’ homes with televisions, essential furnishings, and more, making those new apartments truly feel like home.
And the best part? We know this is just the beginning. We’re thrilled to be deepening our partnership with White Memorial and can’t wait to welcome parishioners for future volunteer opportunities.
From all of us at CASA: Thank you, White Memorial Presbyterian Church, for your generosity, your compassion, and your unwavering commitment to a stronger, more equitable community. Together, we’re building more than homes, we’re building hope.
