CASA is thrilled to celebrate Bank of America as our October Partner of the Month! This fall, Bank of America announced a $75,000 gift to support CASA’s supportive housing program. We are so grateful for their generosity during such an unpredictable and challenging year.
Bank of America supports affordable housing efforts, empowering its local market teams to make grant decisions that impact the communities where they live. Since 2014, Bank of America’s Triangle market has supported CASA with annual grants to power our housing mission. Beyond donating, members of the Triangle Market team roll up their sleeves to get involved and enrich our mission in a variety of ways. Here are just a few:
- Professional Development – Bank of America offers free webinar training to its nonprofit partners on a variety of compliance, fundraising, diversity and inclusion, forecasting, and other topics. These top notch trainings are often out of reach for nonprofit budgets.
- Local Engagement – The Triangle Market hosts high school interns each year. We’ll never forget the stirring interaction between students and veterans living at CASA’s Denson Apartments for Veterans when the students toured the community.
- Volunteer Activities – From landscaping days to creating welcome home baskets, the Bank of America local team is always willing to lend a hand. In addition to helping us keep costs down for landscaping and maintaining our buildings, the Bank of America team volunteers for leadership opportunities. We’re so grateful to Triangle Market Manager Virginia Parker for joining our Campaign Leadership Committee for King’s Ridge, a new construction community to end homelessness in Raleigh.
- Funding – Bank of America’s grant to CASA supports our Housing Solution Fund, which closes the gap between what our residents pay for an affordable rent and our costs to own and manage affordable apartments. CASA’s costs are similar to other landlords, so these grants help ensure we are providing high quality housing with a responsive, compassionate team.
