CASA ends homelessness by opening the door to stable, affordable housing for the lowest income members of our community. We open doors of opportunity to low income veterans, people with disabilities, families with children, and individuals experiencing homelessness.
CASA’s second-annual Day of Giving is our chance to come together to open doors for CASA’s current and future residents. For 24 hours on Tuesday, May 16, your donation goes even further! Gifts of all sizes will make a difference. Thanks to generous donors, there will be special one-time challenges that can provide additional matching funds. In other words, every gift made on May 16 makes an even bigger impact. You make a difference when you give to CASA. And for 24 hours on Day of Giving, your gift can do even more.
What is a “Day of Giving”?
Giving Day is an opportunity for our community to come together on one day to support affordable housing for the individuals and families CASA serves including veterans, people with disabilities, families with children, and those exiting homelessness.
How does it work?
In the week leading up to CASA’s Day of Giving, we’ll share stories and information via email and social media of how CASA is opening doors for those in need. This year, our goal is to raise $50,000 in 24 hours.
Can I give now?
Yes! You don’t have to wait until Day of Giving to help your neighbors in need. You can donate now online at this link, or if you prefer to mail a check, please include “Day of Giving” on the memo line. Checks can be mailed to PO Box 12545, Raleigh NC 27605.
Get Involved
You can get involved in two main ways:
Make a financial donation to CASA on May 16. Unite with hundreds of compassionate people like you by donating at casanc.org/openingdoors/donate. Your gift helps to bridge the gap between what our residents pay in rent at 30 percent of their income and our costs to manage their high-quality affordable rental housing.
Spread the word about CASA’s Day of Giving. Share your passion for CASA’s affordable housing program. Encourage your friends and family to give a gift to help the families and individuals who urgently need a safe, affordable place to call home. Use the hashtag #CASAOpeningDoors when sharing on social media.
