At CASA, we know that addressing homelessness requires strong collaboration across our community. One of our valued partners in this work is The Hope Center at Pullen, an organization dedicated to supporting young adults as they transition out of foster care in Wake County.
A Partnership Rooted in Shared Purpose
CASA and The Hope Center have long worked alongside one another within a continuum of organizations addressing homelessness. A few years ago, a mutual connection brought our teams together to discuss the possibility of creating permanent housing for young adults aging out of foster care.
That conversation became action. Today, we are proud to partner with The Hope Center on Hope Village at Method, an apartment community that provides safe and stable housing for eight young adults. The name was chosen by the youth advisory board, reflecting the voices and leadership of the young people the community was built to serve.
Aligned Missions, Lasting Impact
The Hope Center’s mission is to empower emerging adults transitioning out of foster care with the support and connections needed for a safe and stable adulthood. Housing is the most urgent need during this transition and serves as the foundation for the supportive services they provide.
As an affordable housing provider, CASA shares this commitment to stability and dignity. Together, our organizations are working to house a highly vulnerable and often overlooked population by ensuring young adults leaving foster care have a place to call home.
A Meaningful Moment
One of the most memorable moments of this partnership was the Hope Village ribbon cutting. The completed community stood as a powerful example of what collaboration can accomplish. Surrounded by CASA staff and board members, Hope Center leadership, community supporters, and the young adults who helped design the project, the impact of the partnership was clear.
Looking Ahead
“Our partnership with CASA has strengthened our capacity to support young adults transitioning out of foster care. It has given us a blueprint for future growth and provided the community with a clear picture of what it looks like to create housing for former foster youth. We hope it continues to inspire growth and compassion.”
