Let the Framing Begin
Framing is underway at Perry Place! As a reminder, this is a new 48-unit community straddling the border of Chapel Hill and Carrboro that will serve individuals and families earning less than 60% of the Area Median Income.
The Chapel Hill side is slightly ahead of the Carrboro side and already has the roof trusses and plywood walls in place. This is one of the most exciting activities to watch – the bones of the building going up.
With all the delays and price increases across the entire development industry, we are extremely fortunate that last fall we had the resources, and our contractor had the storage space, to purchase the needed lumber for framing. Once the framing is complete plumbing and electric will be the next activity in the timeline. We’ll continue to keep you updated!
