In September of 2021, CASA hosted its annual Fall Fundraiser, raising over $106,000 to support our mission to provide affordable housing to people with disabilities, veterans, families, and individuals exiting homelessness. This achievement was due, in large part, to the generous support of individuals and corporations who supported the event with donations and sponsorships.
Over the past 6 months, we have put the proceeds of the Fall Fundraiser to good use supporting current residents by bridging the gap to ensure CASA tenants pay no more than 30% of their income for housing. We have also moved 15 individuals (including 7 veterans) and 2 families out of homelessness and into their very own permanent, affordable CASA apartments. This was possible because of the community’s commitment to ensuring that everyone has a safe place to call home.
