We’re pleased to announce our January Partner of the Month, North State Bank!

North State Bank has been a longtime supporter of CASA and has helped us in so many ways. As a housing developer, we sometimes need to borrow funds to grow. Time and again they have been willing to invest in CASA and in affordable housing for our community. North State Bank has believed in us and been there for us, and we are so grateful.

They also were one of our very first partners to sponsor the Fall Fundraiser nearly 8 years ago and have been a lead sponsor each year since. Their support has boosted our annual fundraising each year, helping us to serve the lowest income population in the Triangle.

Finally, in 2021 North State Bank donated $50,000 to support the construction of King’s Ridge—the largest donation they’ve ever made to CASA. King’s Ridge will be 100 apartments for individuals and families and will focus on those earning 30% of the Area Median Income or less who are chronically homeless and living with a disability. North State Bank’s Community Outreach Office Sondra Collins recently shared, “My motto is, ‘Every person deserves a place to call home.’ With Raleigh’s ever-increasing home prices, obtaining safe, affordable, permanent housing is harder than ever. The King’s Ridge project helps address the heart of the issue because it includes long-term housing and crucial services that people need to thrive. Raleigh is flourishing but we need to be careful not to leave people behind. King’s Ridge is an important part of that effort.”

Missy Hatley, CASA’s Sr. Director of Resource Development, says, “North State’s support over the years has been amazing. They’ve proved over and over their dedication to improving our community and making it livable for all. We’re so grateful to call them our partners and our friends.”
