CASA PropertiesVeteran & Supportive Housing
Hull’s Landing, Phase 2, Raleigh
At Hull’s Landing, CASA is partnering with the Durham VA Medical Center and their HUD-VA Supportive Housing program, which provides comprehensive services to tenants, as well as the Housing Authority of the County of Wake who provides rental assistance. Construction funding for Hull’s Landing came from HUD, the City of Raleigh and Wake County.
Private and corporate support were also critical to making Hull’s Landing possible and to funding ongoing costs as the building serves veterans for many years. Wells Fargo, Smith Anderson, Dr. Keith Hull, Jr. and his family all supported Hull’s Landing with construction sponsorships.
Hull’s Landing is named in honor of Dr. Keith Hull, Jr. and his family. Dr. Hull was instrumental in creating CASA back in 1992, and has been a member of our Board of Directors since 2003. As a physician, Dr. Hull recognizes the value of housing as a health care priority for people who are homeless.
“When you don’t know how to help or make a difference, the needs of our veterans can seem overwhelming,” says Debra King, CASA’s CEO. “The solution to homelessness is very straightforward. We need to build and renovate more affordable housing options. These homes will make a tremendous difference for our veterans who we hope will never be homeless again.”
