The relationship between CASA and the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® Giving Network (RGN) is one rooted in shared values, community impact, and a deep commitment to housing for all. What began as a collaboration has grown into a meaningful partnership that continues to change lives across the Triangle.
“It’s been a beautiful and impactful relationship,” shared Heather Thompson, Vice President of RGN. “REALTORS® look to the REALTOR® Giving Network as an outlet to give back, and in return, we’ve partnered with CASA to provide meaningful volunteer opportunities.”
Over the years, RGN has supported CASA in countless hands-on ways—furnishing homes for families, donating household supply kits, and rolling up their sleeves to landscape and beautify CASA properties. Their dedication goes beyond dollars; it’s about creating dignity and joy for the families CASA serves.
RGN’s mission strongly aligns with CASA’s. As Heather explains:
“The Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® actively advocates for policies that increase the affordable housing supply and reduce development barriers.”
These efforts directly support CASA’s mission to provide stable, affordable housing for individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness. But RGN’s generosity is more than financial—it’s transformational. Their $200,000 investment in CASA represents more than housing—it’s a gift of hope and dignity. One memory from Heather stands out:
“I fondly recall helping one of your families furnish their brand-new apartment. One of the daughters ran up to me in a state of confusion and asked, ‘Who else is moving in?’ I quickly assured her the apartment was for her family only. She was in shock that she had her own room after living in a motel room with her family of five for months.”
It’s moments like these that remind us why this work matters—and why partnerships like ours with RGN are essential. Together, CASA and the REALTOR® Giving Network are doing more than just putting roofs over heads—we’re creating communities, restoring dignity, and building a foundation of hope for families across our region.
