CASA is excited to recognize Wells Fargo as our July Partner of the Month! For five years and counting, Wells Fargo and its amazing network of local associates have supported our mission to provide access to stable, affordable housing for people who are homeless or at risk by developing and managing rental communities.

Wells Fargo associates are certainly not afraid of hard work. “An especially memorable day was when a whole crew of Wells Fargo mortgage bankers, led by our Board Treasurer Sylvia Jurgensen, unloaded furniture for 10 veterans moving into their new CASA apartments in one day,” says Missy Hatley, CASA’s Sr. Director of  Resource Development. “We’ve also worked together to move some pretty sizable mulch piles over the years!”

Many of the Wells Fargo team members who volunteer with CASA are veterans or family members of veterans.  Cathy Mills, a Wells Fargo Senior Consultant and Co-Chair of the Raleigh Chapter of the Veterans Team Member Network, first volunteered with CASA in May of 2019.  “I was so impressed with CASA and their passion to open their doors to individuals, families and veterans without a permanent home,” said Mills. “Our goal at Wells Fargo is to help promote and improve the long-term economic prosperity and quality of life for everyone in our communities. We realize that if our communities prosper, we all prosper, so we look forward to continuing to work with this amazing organization to support both of our missions.”

In addition to volunteer hours, Wells Fargo’s local market has supported more than $88,000 in grant support for CASA’s housing over the past five years.  “We are filled with gratitude for Wells Fargo as a partner in our mission to provide high quality apartments for our tenants,” says Missy Hatley.
