On November 29, 2018, CASA was delighted to be included in a Raleigh holiday tradition—the Eighth Annual Raleigh Giving Party.
The event is hosted by three friends—Natalie Best, Melissa Colantuoni, and Christina Woelffer. Together, they choose four nonprofits to celebrate, and then they invite their friends and family to support these agencies as a way to kick off the holiday season.
The women choose different organizations each year, to highlight different issues and solutions in the community. This year CASA shared the stage with the Methodist Home for Children, Horse & Buddy, and Project NoRest.
Guests were treated to wine donated by local philanthropist Eliza Kraft Olander, and the hostesses’ favorite small plates. They spent the evening opening their hearts and wallets to all four charities in a holiday-themed outpouring of generosity.
Donations are still arriving through the Party’s online giving site. So far, CASA’s total is over $4,400! You can also donate to our cause here.
