GivingTuesday is always a special day, and this time, it means even more. 2020 has been a challenging year for many. The gift of giving — whether it’s our time, money, or advocacy — can go a long way toward making things easier. If you’re in a position to give on Tuesday, December 1, we have a few ideas for how you can do so.

Ways to Give to CASA

At CASA, we believe that housing is the solution to homelessness. The way we provide housing is through the generous giving of donors like you. The following opportunities are great places to start.

Become a Champion

Giving is in the spotlight on December 1, but it doesn’t end there. There is a constant need to spread goodness, and our CASA Champions understand that. CASA Champions earn their title by donating monthly. The process is easy, impactful, and takes place on the donor’s terms.

Make a Plan

Planned giving through the Forever Home Society is a meaningful, multifaceted way you can positively affect individuals and families experiencing homelessness. This program allows donors to contribute in the following ways:

  • Bequests
  • Beneficiary designations
  • Gifts of real estate or property
  • Gifts of appreciated securities
  • Charitable remainder trusts

Volunteer

Giving isn’t limited to financial resources. At CASA, our volunteers give in ways that simply can’t be measured by a dollar sign or decimal point. Whether it’s making wellness calls or welcome baskets, or pledging administrative support, there are plenty of ways to show you care here.

Other Local Nonprofits to Support

CASA isn’t the only initiative accepting help on GivingTuesday. The Triangle alone is home to dozens of other nonprofits fighting homelessness, food insecurity, and other domestic issues. Below, you’ll find a short list:
